The DevOps Foundation course provides a baseline understanding of key DevOps terminology to ensure everyone is talking the same language and highlights the benefits of DevOps to support organizational success.

The course includes the latest thinking, principles and practices from the DevOps community including real-world case studies from high performing organizations including ING Bank, Ticketmaster, Capital One, Alaska Air, Target, Fannie Mae, Societe Generale, and Disney that engage and inspire learners, leveraging multimedia and interactive exercises that bring the learning experience to life, including the Three Ways as highlighted in the Phoenix Project by Gene Kim and the latest from the State of DevOps and DevOps Institute Upskilling reports.
Learners will gain an understanding of DevOps, the cultural and professional movement that stresses communication, collaboration, integration, and automation to improve the flow of work between software developers and IT operations professionals.
The course is designed for a broad audience, enabling those on the business side to obtain an understanding of microservices and containers. Those on the technical side will obtain an understanding as to the business value of DevOps to reduce cost (15-25% overall IT cost reduction) with increased quality (50-70% reduction in change failure rate) and agility (up to 90% reduction in provision and deployment time) to support business objectives in support of digital transformation initiatives.
Unique and exciting exercises will be used to apply the concepts covered in the course and sample documents, templates, tools, and techniques will be provided to use after the class.
This certification positions learners to successfully complete the DevOps Foundation examination.

CERTIFICATION EXAM

Successfully passing (65%) the 60-minute examination, consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions, leads to the DevOps Foundation Certificate. The certification is governed and maintained by the DevOps Institute.

This Security+ certification Boot Camp was PERFECT! When I took the class, I had zero background or experience in this Networking & Security+ arena. The class I took was led by J Chaney. He has expertly took me from a very nervous and clueless student to a confident student. I felt self-assured to take the certification exam. Could you have You-Tubed all the info? Yes, but that just memorization not comprehension. The instructor J made all of it digestible by his use personalization's of the content. Personalizations of the content helped bring this highly complex and technical data into bite-sized chunks, not everyone can do "it". J Chaney has the “It” effect, it is those intangibles that separate a good from great instructor. He can easily assess your level of understanding and customize "it" to you. Eric is an amazing instructor. The class was very well informed and as someone who has been in this field for close to 14 years, I thoroughly enjoyed adding to my arsenal of tools. I especially like the option to view the class on recordings because for those of us deployed it’s extremely difficult for us to watch them live while on mission. Labs are ok, just wish there was more explanation to them from the lab material itself. The advantage of taking this course in a live classroom setting I’m sure. All in all I look forward to my CHFI class coming up Aug 17th. Thank you for all you guys do for us.

This school is hands down the BEST IT school I have attended for SEC+. I have attended SEC+ twice at Fort Gordon and the information that is taught there was so outdated. I appreciate Applied Technology Academy so much! I actually enjoyed the instruction, it was not hard to follow, and the instructor, Mr. Chaney, was extremely knowledgeable. He was able to communicate to the lowest level from Beginner to advanced. Our class had 100% pass rate of who took the exam after the course was over. After the exam I was able to contact the instructor and Ms. Liz Pernaselci for more information. I was provided with the audio from the course to go over in the event I needed to brush up.
